The Eminence in Shadow Review

Cid isn't your average isekai hero. Yes, he was messing around trying to play hero only to get a nice kiss from truck-kun to start him off on the road to real adventure but he is also an extremely over powered main character. All this isn't new, but what is new, is the fact of how much fun he is having playing his own personal game.

I have re-written this several times now, because I keep wanting to gush about all the cool bits, which of course leads straight to spoiler own and rathe ruins a review. So here is the simple style. This show is great, full of style and humor. Not to mention a S-ton of great fight scenes and leaving the “supposed” boss level people literally crying half the time. That is before they’re usually burnt to ash. The only thing more fun is watching our hero roleplay his way though the world while having a blast at playing both the background character and the hero in the shadows.

You will laugh, you will cheer. You will also face palm yourself into a concussion and love every minute of it. With 2 seasons so far and a movie already in production. This is one to watch, over and over again.
